I had originally planned to share a plugin, but my phone and computer plugins are quite messy, and everyone's needs are different, so it's not easy to share. I will share it after organizing a few common plugins. But there is one plugin that I must strongly recommend, which allows us to quickly search and understand the knowledge we need. This plugin is called chatbox.
We all know that the data trained by ChatGPT only goes up to 2021, and it often makes things up. This plugin combines the powerful reading and comprehension abilities of ChatGPT with the information from traditional search engines and websites. It allows it to quickly read the content we need and summarize it, helping us filter the information we need.
Here are some demonstrations. In Baidu Baike and Wikipedia, it can effectively extract key information and provide a brief summary to help us read and understand. Then we can ask questions based on the summarized information, and it will reply based on the webpage content and its own trained data, which increases credibility.
Chatbox can also help us summarize information from search engines, Bilibili, YouTube, and other content platforms. It can summarize search results and video content, becoming a simple search assistant in the form of a sidebar.
In addition to the above applications, what I admire most is its use on GitHub and news websites. I often check projects on GitHub, but I don't know how to code. I can ask chatbox as long as the project's readme is clear enough. Even if it's in English, chatbox can teach me how to run it directly. I've been getting errors in the autogpt project, but after sending the error code to chatbox, it can easily help me solve the problem.
I also often watch English media and news websites, and reading through the entire English text is troublesome for me. Chatbox can also help me read the news quickly.
The method of downloading and installing is also very simple. Just open the extension store, search for chatbox, and install it. Then click on the extension icon and fill in the API according to the prompts inside. The other default settings are fine. In the webpage, you only need to press alt+b to quickly bring up chatbox.
